O antes e o depois de duas mães grávidas com o mesmo tempo de gestação (apesar de não parecer)

Seis meses após a foto que comparava suas barrigas se tornar viral, a repetiram com seus bebês

Seis meses atrás a australiana Chontel Duncan estava grávida de 21 semanas e tirou uma foto com uma amiga, separadas por apenas quatro semanas de gestação, para mostrar como a gravidez pode ser diferente no corpo de cada mulher.

A foto, publicada em seu perfil no Instagram, chamou a atenção de milhares de pessoas – hoje já ultrapassou os 4.200 likes e 800 comentários – e sua história foi divulgada por veículos de comunicação de todo o mundo. De um lado, uma barriga pouco perceptível. Do outro, uma mais do que evidente barriga de grávida.

“Cada mulher passa pela gestação de maneira diferente e isso não significa que está fazendo as coisas erradas e não seja saudável”, escreveu Duncan. “Nós duas esperamos bebês que estão crescendo saudáveis e até agora as gravidezes são maravilhosas, estamos ótimas e cheias de energia”.

Seis meses depois dessa imagem, já com os filhos nos braços, as duas mulheres repetiram a foto e voltaram a compartilhar com seus seguidores no Instagram. O efeito do antes e depois também multiplicou a repercussão da foto, que agora superou os 21.000 likes:

Duncan, que foi modelo e concorrente ao título de Miss Universo pela Austrália, é muito ativa nas redes sociais, onde costuma publicar conselhos sobre fitness e vídeos com suas rotinas de exercícios. Sua atividade esportiva constante durante a gravidez – que narrou em todas as suas etapas – não esteve isenta de críticas. Comentários aos quais a jovem respondeu diversas vezes – “Respeito meu corpo, sou disciplinada e me preocupo com minha saúde” – afirmando que tudo o que fazia era supervisionado por seu médico.

14 WEEKS!!! I started my first bump photo 👍🏽 I started to research prams and noticed the @bugaboohq pram 😍, I started to increase my cold press juicing, smashing down soooo much green veggies of a morning & my obsession with bio oil fizzled out. I figured I actually had no idea if this was even working so I currently have just been doing my normal routine of Nivia Q10 after showers. Any suggestions on great creams to help my tummy as it grows would be fantastic. (Not to prevent stretch marks, more just to keep my skin hydrated so it doesn't itch when it stretches once my bump comes) My coffee intake was completely changed from drinking 2-3 cups of black coffee a day 😳 to 1 serve maybe 3-4 times a week. I LOVED my coffee and surprised myself how much better I felt cutting that down & drinking more water. My scan appts were like Christmas, my husband would get soooo excited that at these appts he would stand super close to the screen making all kinds of sound effects when the baby would move, he would point at the screen interrupting the doc asking 'what is that'... 'what is this'... I couldn't help but giggle every time. The questions about me training were asked again by my husband. Chontel trains everyday almost, she lifts weights, she jumps around, she runs, she does kick boxing, she raises her heart rate, she doesn't seem to be slowing down... Blah blah blah He even had videos of me for proof & my obstetrician Karen Baker smiled. "Chontel is in a extremely healthy athletic condition, her body doesn't stress through physical activity, her body is very comfortable in this environment & the baby is very protected. She would be capable at running a marathon in her condition." I guess it was hard to break the old school ways that many have scared us to believe & understand that with a history of 5+ years of living this lifestyle, I had moulded myself to be able to sustain this lifestyle. Blood work was great, baby was great & now my husband and I could relax about one less thing. It is crazy that when ever I eat I always think about the fact that what I eat, baby eats. Makes me defiantly want to eat healthier!

BUMP UPDATE 🍼 35 weeks.... Only 35 days to go! The past week I've experienced on 2 occasions swollen calves & ankles (aka cankles) 😳 don't worry it's nothing serious, my blood pressure is spot on. It's purely part of my journey and due to Little D being so bloody low & engaged. Poor guy has not moved position eek, my core does not allow him the freedom to do somersaults, but thankfully this is a very good thing as he is in the perfect position for delivery. The doctors don't want him to move from this position. So I bought these cheap miracle socks from Big W (in the section where all the "as seen on tv" shit is sold, and if I wear them with my feet up, the fluid literally disappears. They clearly are miracle socks lol We shot with the very talented Melanie @captured_dreams_by_melanie & as beautiful as her work is I still had my doubts in whether I could pull off shots like what I see in her portfolio. No doubt Mel knew exactly how to position us, where the best angles, lighting etc were & we could not be more OBSESSED with the images we have seen so far. Guys I know this is defiantly not your cup of tea, BUT let me assure you, it's very special, Mel wouldn't shoot you looking uncomfortable or awkward, it was an amazing experience for my husband and I to connect more & these memories we will forever cherish. Hands down 🙌🏾 DO IT!!!! My baby shower was on Sunday & it was absolutely PERFECT ☺️ from the venue @rainforestgardens, the food (thanks Mum & Aunty Ann), the decorations & games (thanks girls), the music (thanks Erin & Sam), the cake/cupcake tower (thanks @miss_kate_xox), the Event letters (@eventletters) & of course all my friends and family for coming 😀 Little D was absolutely spoilt ROTTEN! My husband and I chose to open the gifts together at home so we could fill in my Kiki book on who got what so we could thanks each for their kind wishes and gifts. I have to say it was a day I won't forget. I'm still training each day as much as I can, nutrition is still the same no weird changes have happened & my OB appointments are now weekly YAY!!!
